                    About Renee Edd

IMG_2723.JPG

Renee is an award-winning vocalist with professional stage credits and, bizarrely - or not so bizarrely, she sang before she even spoke.

Her 4 octave vocal range allows her to tackle songs not frequently performed by others. This uncanny range and power has taken her all over the world - including New York, London, New Orleans, and LA - but has always brought her back home to Houston. Her clean, sweet vocals capture the powerful and complex rock of Pat Benatar and Steve Perry to country greats like Martina McBride, through to new icons like Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga. A golden-age soprano and classically trained, she also commands a variety of standards and has over 30 years of experience in musical theater, including Houston's TUTS. For 20 years, she has fronted the 80s tribute band The Lost Boys - where Nathan plays Bass!

Highlights include appearing in Rolling Stone, on MTV News, and singing at Carnegie Hall, Don't Tell Mama Cabaret in NYC, and venues in London's famed West End.

Weird and real reviews of Renee's vocals:

"Wig! I thought my hair was going to fly off my head..."

"Your voice is sick."
"How does that come out of such a tiny body?"
"Are you for real?"
"I've never heard anyone sing better in Houston." - The Night Before Beryl Devastated the area!

She attended the High School For the Performing & Visual Arts, New York University, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and has had hits on Canadian Top 40, while also boasting off-Broadway and Regional Credits.

In addition, she has appeared in films including SlamDance winner "Bindlestiffs", has had her screenplays win over 35 awards, including 2nd place in the Austin Film Festival, and has produced a number of films, TV pilots, and Local Commercials.
